The Saint James brand was founded in 1889 to create clothes for Norman and Breton sailors. In 2013, Les Tricots Saint James obtained the label "Entreprise du patrimoine vivant", a label awarded by the State, to promote and recognise French know-how. The workshops are open to visitors to discover the manufacture of the sailor sweater and the famous marinière.
The American military cemetery
The American military cemetery of Saint James is in the town of Montjoie Saint Martin, 2km from Saint James. It has more than 4300 Latin crosses and 81 David's stars.
